Project Manager

CD Genomics is a bioinformatics service provider that provides data analysis, mining and integration project services for global companies and scientific research institutions. We are currently in a period of sustained and rapid growth and are actively looking for talented and inspired Project Managers to join our operation team to meet the needs of our rapidly expanding business.

Role Details

This position will report directly to the vice president of research and development and be responsible for various projects and analysis activities. The main responsibilities of this role include guiding informatics, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence, paying attention to the frontiers of informatics, artificial intelligence and biotechnology, and applying these technologies to the company's products.

Candidates should be self-motivated and excited about the opportunity to perform multifaceted bioinformatics functions within a growing, fast-paced biotechnology company.

Job Responsibilities

• Be the key driver in the department and corresponding global organization to help ensure a continued development of our bioinformatics services.
•  Design and integrate cutting-edge bioinformatics technologies in the R&D framework. Independently design, use and improve bioinformatics tools to correctly respond to the requirements of bioinformatics analysis projects.
• Lead the bioinformatics team to formulate new tool development strategies. 
• Effectively design algorithms and coding bioinformatics software and pipelines to analyze various biological projects.
• Design a deep learning framework in massive data, guide the direction of research and development, and develop statistical analysis methods and algorithms for data manipulation by bioinformatics scientists.
• Manage project timelines and schedules of projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Skills & Requirements

• MSc in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or related disciplines, with demonstrated skills and experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or related academic laboratories.
• At least 10 years of demonstrable work experience.
• Proficient in one of Python, R and Perl programming languages.
• Tracking records of software packages, databases, websites or scientific publications.
• Experience in implementing machine learning and deep learning algorithms in genomics or proteomics.
• Able to manage and analyze a large number of multi-omics data, and be able to manage multiple projects at the same time and manage priorities in a flexible way.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent team skills and documentation skills.

Desirable

• Good communication skills, patience, and strong data analysis skills.
• Have experience in participating in large-scale biological information analysis projects.
• You need to have high-level technical skills and collaborative problem-solving methods. In addition, self-management are very important to us.
